Tyler and Amanda's story

Tyler proposed to Amanda on February 21, but the story begins long before than. Before Christmas talk begin of Tyler knowing she's the one. With the help of Mama and Grandma and of course Tyler the most beautiful and precious ring was formed so when he was ready he had the ring. Tyler...being a planner wanted to plan out the most perfect proposal. While he was home for Christmas we devised a plan to leave Amanda at the house and Maeve and I met Tyler and Lindsey at Dimo's Jewelry to look at the setting. It was beautiful!! Since Maeve approved Tyler decided to do it and had them put the diamonds in the setting....he would pick it up when he returned home the first of January. Now the biggest hurdle in "the plan" asking Amanda's dad for his youngest daughter's hand. Still not sure when he would ask Amanda he knew that he had to talk to her dad while they were in New York for Christmas...he did...and had Mr. Beekman's approval. So now Tyler had our support, the Beekman's approval, and the ring.....let's propose! Well Mr. Planner had it in his head that he would propose on the beach and he wanted to come home and surprise her. His final plan......he had taken off work a week earlier than Amanda thought he was going too. He arrived in Charlotte on Thursday and had called a teacher friend of Amanda's to get her a sub for Friday without her knowing. Little did she know what the weekend held. They left out Thursday for Tybee Island. I still haven't heard all details...but I'm sure Tyler had every minute of the weekend planned. I was just waiting on a phone call...Saturday evening they called with the news...he had asked her at sunset on the beach while they were having a picnic. They said it was too perfect!! I am so excited too see what the future holds for Tyler and Amanda. I am looking forward to adding the Beekman's to our family. Congrats Tyler and Amanda!!

You're never to big to nap on Daddy!

When I walked into the living room Maeve and Britt were out...it reminded me of when she was little and how easily she would fall asleep on us. It is now a rare and precious moment! Here she is 1 week old.

And now...........a 2o month old
